User Interface and Description

This topic explains the sidebar menu and its components. Use the sidebar menu to select sections/subsections, log out of SpaceFinder Web UI, change the unit selection, and update your settings.

2. This is the Pool/Volume section. Each section contains at least one set, sometimes two sets, of subsections. Inside each subsection, you can create your own queries. Information on how to create your own query can be found in Adding a Rule to a Query and Adding a Group to a Query.
3. This is a subsection. It is a default query. You can run the query and change the default query, but you cannot delete or rename the default query. Each section contains at least one set, sometimes two sets, of subsections. These are the subsections in the Pool/Volume section (pictured in the figure above):
  • Detail
  • Esoteric
  • Response
  • Short List
  • Inventory

4. This is a user query. A user query can be changed, saved, renamed, and deleted because you create the query. You have the ability to add rules and groups to your queries and name them accordingly. For information, see:

7. This is the Tape section. Each section contains at least one set, sometimes two sets, of subsections. These are some of the subsections in the Tape section (not pictured in the figure above):
  • RMM
    • Volumes
    • Datasets
    • HSM OCDS
    • Datastet Pools
    • Volume Pools
Other possible options include CA1; TLMS; or altogether RMM, CA1, and TLMS depending on the specified configuration.
8. This is the SpaceFinder database, which defines the configuration used by the web server.
